Kansas Crescent Moon (photo print)

The original Kansas Crescent Moon is painted on a road map of Kansas. The shape and orientation of the Kansas map lent itself perfectly to a landscape painting. Trying to decide what scene to paint over each map I try to capture a feeling of that particular state without covering up too many places. The windmill and moon give it a timeless and dream-like feeling to this painting. It was painted using acrylic paints thinned with water to allow the map to  show through. * Brian
