Arizona Flag map is a photographic print of the Arizona flag painted over a road map. On the original I traced out the flag over a road map and used acrylic paints thinned down with water so it would allow the map to show through.
The original Arizona Flag Map was painted over a road map of Arizona. The design of the flag is very symbolic of the state. The 13 rays coming out of the star are for the 13 original colonies and are the colors Spanish explorer Coronado carried on his 1540 expedition of the area. They also symbolize the setting sun. The copper star represents copper mining. Arizona is the largest producer of copper. The blue at the bottom is Liberty Blue the same as the United States flag. * Brian
