The original Arizona Flag Map was painted over a road map of Arizona. The design of the flag is very symbolic of the state. The 13 rays coming out of the star are for the 13 original colonies and are the colors Spanish explorer Coronado carried on his 1540 expedition of the area. They also symbolize the setting sun. The copper star represents copper mining. Arizona is the largest producer of copper. The blue at the bottom is Liberty Blue the same as the United States flag. Raised copper metal is used to embellish the star on the reproduction just like the original. It is available in two sizes. * Brian
Arizona Flag Map is a one of a kind hand embellished reproduction using our raised “Molten Metals” process. This added dimension makes it look like the original but at a fraction of the cost. Printed on a ready to hang 1.5" deep canvas, the edges are gallery wrapped in black so there's no need to frame!
