Singing Aspens/Birch on Mountains 24" x 24" (original artwork) SOLD

This original Singing Aspens/Birch Trees on Mountains started with a stack of 1940's sheet music purchased at an estate sale. Michele had planned on using them as the background for some mixed media pieces. She had them sitting next to some aluminum tape strips that she has used extensively in a popular series of aspen tree paintings. The more she looked at them she realized the sheet music cut into tapered shapes would create wonderful, interesting looking aspen tree trunks.  A minimalist look was achieved by using an only black, white and gray palette.  Raised silver colored metal is applied using our "Molten Metal" process on the mountain peaks that lends itself well to a clean, crisp,  contemporary style.
