Singing Aspens/Birch in Blue This original is one of a  series where Michele used sheet music to create tree trunks. It all started with a stack of 1940's sheet music purchased at an estate sale. The sky was first painted in acrylic blue glazes in a horizontal brushed technique. The sheet music was cut into tapered trunks and decoupaged onto the piece, then the branches and leaves were painted with acrylics.  Silver colored raised "Molten Metals" is applied to the mountain peaks to add dimension and a contemporary style to this original.
